SUV’S are right now trending at every segment of market whether it’s budget SUV segment or luxury. Customers are getting attracted more to SUV’s because of it’s muscular looks and a clear road presence. So as we are talking about these big sized heavy cars, Let’s talk about BMW X7 which is almost ready to launch in the Indian market very soon. What this luxury SUV has to offer, What features it have?, How it stands against it’s rivals, Specs and every bit about the car we find out in it’s first drive and review.
The exterior of BMW X7 looks very striking yet sharp in design whether it’s thin laser lights or the muscular grille all add to the look of the car. Also the best one is the laser lights of the car which looks beyond the top when illuminated at night as the DRL’s are so awesome that you don’t need to put on the lights as they are enough to make you see what’s happening on the road. The back of the car looks very simplistic as compared to the front. I like the clean integration of the silencers at the bottom. The back LED lights look simple yet smart. Overall it’s not that attractive as it is from the back.
The fog lights are placed much above the regular position and looks like the accessory rather looking like a normal add on. The alloy wheels of the car are big and help to give an imposing yet rough stance to the car overall exteriors are very attractive yet elegant
The interiors of Bmw X7 are technologically upgraded than the previous generation car and are also much more luxurious now. BMW’s virtual digital screen is now on the car ass it does duty on all bmw models. It’s a full digital screen with different displays as city mode has different display while sports have some different display. It’s a nice touch used by the company as it helps the driver to keep glued on the screen. What makes the cabin also stand out is the lavish use of thick, high-quality leather.
Also the iDrive control dial and the volume control knob looks pretty classy. At the backseat legroom is not pretty good as space is on a lower side but visibility looks great as the window panels are big and clear to view. Interiors are clearly the best in X7 and i must say BMW has done a great job
ENGINE & PERFORMANCE:-
BMW X7 is powered by the 3.0-litre straight 6 cylinder diesel engine which produces around 340 hp. Though the car is so big and heavy the power figures are sedate and not powerful but out on the road it is clearly opposite as in real world put your foot flat and this car can literally sprint out on a open road. On the long run’s BMW is pretty stable on the highways and this can be due to the bulky weight of the car. Be it any triple digit speeds X7 feels rock solid on the highways.
You will always feel confident on any speeds with the car as it behaves very mature in handling. Also at high speeds cornering is very agile as it turns exactly as the way you want. Overall it’s a very heavy car and don’t expect it to be a racing car but it has got an extreme level of handling and good performance.
